The Crypto Experiment

In 2017 i did an experiment, that i will be reviving this time with Defi tokens.

A lot has changed since then, and i am exited to see how this one goes.

This is my reddit post from 2017 when it started.

Inspired by u/Tetragrammatron and what he has done in “buy and hold 31 cryptocurrencies for 365 days” I have decided to do my own experiment.

I am 28 years, so decided to buy/Hodl 28 Coins for 28 weeks, will add 2 ICOs to the mix as well.

Here is how I plan to do it:

• will buy 10$ worth of coins for each of the first 20 coins on coinmarketcap. Took a snapshot half an hour ago. Here it is: https://i.imgur.com/uSSIFlD.jpg
• will buy 10$ worth of 08 other coins that are to my opinion some of the best out there:

> XRB, > VTC, > XBY, > ByteBall, > ZRX, > Aeon, > HST > DOGE

it is obvious that i cannot buy 10$ worth of an ICO as most have a minimum contribution of 0.1 ETH, so i will take the equivalent of 10$ based on ICOs price for 2 ICOs, HODL it and tracks how it will progress. I will use as an assumption that the tokens will hold their value (10$) till they hit exchanges.

I will be using an excel file to track all of this and generate some nice looking graphs. Thanks to u/arsonbunny and his post on how to use cmc API in Excel, this become a lot easier.

So if you guys have any comments, or requests let me know, i will be buying the coins today and tomorrow, will need to use multiple exchanges for this so it will take some time.

For coins that i already own such us IOTA and XRB i will set aside 10$ worth of each aside based on today’s prices instead of buying it.
